Smart Network Devices (SND) family of high performance IP camera modules with low power consumption and optimal processor loading for low cost system solutions are ideal for many applications.

From the impressively small NetCam, the Global Shutter D-CAM and the high performance low cost E-CAM, SND can help make you achieve an adapterable and high performance solution. A particular area of success shared with one of our customers is the D-CAM (picture). It has a significant market share in Germany in machines checking the security label on empty drink bottles to return the original EUR 0.25 left as a deposit at the time of purchasing the bottle full. Another of our cameras is performing a similar task in Denmark.

Each series of IP-Camera is available for modification to meet your needs including various frame rates, sensitivity, (dual) CMOS sensors, physical sizes, Ethernet and wireless protocols. Other optional features include housings (including IP65), various quality of lenses, and lighting. With our knowledge of use in many applications including security systems, pattern recognition, industrial inspection, etc. SND will be there to advise on the most cost effective solution for your specification.

A choice of small memory footprint Embedded Realtime Multitasking Operating Systems for networking, including TCP/IP as standard, are available. Other Software Extensions such as HTTP, FTP, a File System are available, and could be included as standard with the cameras depending on your choice of Operating System. Both Operating Systems offer a broad range of possibilities.

All cameras come with a sizeable memory (FLASH & SDRAM), and should be sufficient for most applications. However should your application be particularly memory intensive we can increase the size of memory to accommodate your needs in most cases.
